When I moved into my new home, all my furniture was given to me by someone. One of those was a desk which had come out of an old factory office. So I sanded it down from top to bottom including the legs and then revarnished i giving it a new lease of life. I have now had it for 30 years and it looks it, so maybe another new lease of life is dew
FYI -The phrase originates from literal property leases in the early 1800s, where renewing a rental agreement allowed someone to continue living in a property. Didn’t know that did you?
This morning when I found a packet of minty chocolates in a cupboard, which I had forgotten about and are now looking forward to eating with my cup of coffee.
