My husband and I had gone to a supermarket for the weeks shop and I lost him in the melee of aisles and people so I had to shout to find him. He was quite embarrassed really.
From what I see in the movies people are shouting in public all the time, especially when they want a cab.
Last time I shouted in public was when a small child ran out in front of me when I was on my bike.
