FunkQuest – Season 2 – Semi Final 2 – Ann Smith v Sarah Elkins

We are entering the last game of season 2 before the Final show. Ann or Sarah, who will turn out to be the Grand Champion of Funkquest this season? Maybe this episode will help you decide.

Ann was first to the board and chose the Icon of 'coloured balls'. 'Who always seems to win when you play a game with them? Ann was certain that if she ever played any physical games there would be no doubt about someone else winning - but if a game like Trivial Pursuits was played, she would win hands down.

Sarah chose the 'Lion' icon. Who would come when she calls - her dog

Sarah's next question was about her first car. She had a gold VW bug with a soft top roof, it seems not only did she love it but everyone around her college did too,  as they left messages and gifts on the car.

'Which is your favourite crime show on TV?' allowed Ann to answer that she was going to be acting in a 'true crime' show. She would however have to 'die for her art' as she was playing the victim.

Question 3, for Ann, revealed that she had a cupboard full of musical instruments which she had tried to play, then put away. She would love to be able to play a Bassoon - the 'grumpy old curmugeon' of an instrument, in a Jazz band.

The 'famous landmarks' question was Sarah's third question and she was able to give a long list of National parks, museums, and attractions from all over the globe.

Question 4 for Sarah was about drinking pints - (of milk, that is). She does drink milk but not as much as a pint and she has memories of paying a nickle at school, when she was younger, to have her daily portion.

Ann learned to swim, only after her local area was able to provide a swimming pool. Previous to that she had tried to swim while at summer camp in Lake Huron. She was rescued by a pole. from nearly drowning.

'What's the best thing about your life.' was Ann's final question - actually being alive and living in the 21st century was her answer, and she went on to talk about;  how in any other century, as a woman, she would probably be already dead.

Sarah chose the 'global map' icon for her last question. The last time she wrote a cheque, it was to the man sorting out her floor. She had to put it in an envelope and send it to his P.O. box.

What are the FUNKQUEST rules?

FunkQuest is a fun interactive online game that features five rounds. Each player selects the icon which most tweaks their interest.  Each Funky icon has a Funky question.
The question shown may or may not be related to the icon.

SO potential Funksters have to think on their feet. The winner is decided by the audience and goes through to the next round.

What's so good about FUNKQUEST ?

Funky Thinkers know that IDEAS only come from free-flowing CONVERSATION.
Listening (without prejudice) to new ideas and speakers from outside your usual network truly qualifies as FUNKY.
Each question has a strict time limit. So no multi-headed long and complicated self indulgent stories to endure.  Just short punchy bite-sized truly Funky ideas, as we GET THE FUNK OUT!

Voting closes 9am Big Ben time.
