As teenagers my mate and his girlfriend set me up with blind date. She was pretty and all we were going to do was go for a walk together. They stopped and started kissing so I asked this girl if I could kiss her, she said yes so I did and it was a bit longer than a peck on the cheek, which was great but when it stopped I did the most stupid thig and said ‘Oh I wish i’d brushed my teeth now. It just came out. we walked back in silence.
Once made a ‘baked alaska’ (sponge, icecream and meringue)pudding to finish a three course meal but forgot to take the icecream off the plastic plate it had come with. Made the sponge at the bottom had to cut.
When someone goes on about how good you are at doing something to people you want to impress, to not do that thing right in front of them.
Letting my children have free reign at family parties.
