Flitch Day celebrates a quirky 12th-century English tradition where married couples underwent a mock trial to prove they had not regretted their marriage for a year and a day. Those who successfully convinced the jury of their fidelity were awarded a “flitch” (a side or slab) of bacon. Didnt know that did ya!
