Every kid in the country wanted to play in the NHL. I was selected to teams for being big, but was never trained for coordination. But it was the fist fighting and brutality of the game that turned me off! But years later in a park I sat on a bench next to my childhood idle without any acknowledgement of his notoriety.
I looked at being in and running my own business. It looked magical and mysterious. It turns out not to be. My nose for numbers proved its simplicity. And how I actually achieved that goal I had as a very young teenager.
Fist fighting is an actual career choice nowadays..
When you can win £20,000 as a rookie to millions as a professional why not
When I was in primary school we had a “dress as what you want to be when you grow up” day. I just wore normal clothes and said I was a teacher, but famously one kid came dressed as a bank robber.
And did he?????
sort of he went to drama school and finally got a part as an extra in a bankheist film
In Junior school I was always given the job of helping those who were struggling in class, so I grew up wanting to be a Teacher.
Then I reached that goal and with dashes of inspiration that went went quite well.
Now I realise that although I like kids I don’t like the naughty and unruly kids, so Im glad Im out of teaching now.
Just imagine what it would be like in those classes in NA today???
