FunkQuest – Season 2 – Round 2 – Episode 22 – Lisa Pezik v Tina Dietz

After seeing off other contenders Lisa Pezik and Tina Dietz have reached the 6th edition of FunkQuest Season 2 - Round 2.

Tina was first to choose an Icon and answer the Question - which was about her ambitious nature. Descended from an entrepreneurial family, she thought everyone was the same but grew up to realise her independence and assertion are not universal traits.

In her first question, Lisa revealed that when she reaches her limit, every little thing makes her crazy. Her husband and son have a mutual look, so they know to keep out of the way.

In question 2 Lisa's favourite sandwich turns out to be a Jewish Deli thing, thick rye bread with lots of sourkraut, thousand island dressing and grilled cheese.

Tina's favourite Panoramic View comes from living in the mountains in Costa Rica - a 360 degree view of 7 volcanoes, lots of birds and mammals - complete sensory experience.

For Question 3 Tina revealed that she still believes there are monsters under the bed, despite telling herself there aren't any. Her Pills icon picture was probably appropriate.

Lisa's tip for "staying sane in this mad crazy world"  was to be clear about what really matters. Don't get hung up on all the other things you have to do - there is no badge for being busy. Do what makes you feel secure.

Question 4 for Lisa, what will we tell children in the future about our lives today? Technology is moving at a pace, will they ask about how we coped when things were slow?

Tina, told of a promise, made between her and her future husband, that if either of them fell down they would use the coffee table as a travois - this was her answer to the question "who would you 'piggy back' on a long walk"

Question 5 was Tinas - if she had a single photo she would make sure that all her family was in it, from children to grandparents, along with a shadow background to remember mentors as benevolent spirits as she said "you never make a journey on your own."

The last question went to Lisa, who, if she learnt another language it would be Polish. Inspired by her husbands grandmother. When she spoke to those she loved, she would speak endearments in her native language, which made them all the more heartfelt. Translations are never as good.

What are the FUNKQUEST rules?

FunkQuest is a fun interactive online game that features five rounds. Each player selects the icon which most tweaks their interest.  Each Funky icon has a Funky question.
The question shown may or may not be related to the icon.

SO potential Funksters have to think on their feet. The winner is decided by the audience and goes through to the next round.

What's so good about FUNKQUEST ?

Funky Thinkers know that IDEAS only come from free-flowing CONVERSATION.
Listening (without prejudice) to new ideas and speakers from outside your usual network truly qualifies as FUNKY.
Each question has a strict time limit. So no multi-headed long and complicated self indulgent stories to endure.  Just short punchy bite-sized truly Funky ideas, as we GET THE FUNK OUT!
