For years I havent practised any sport but in the last six months I have been swimming. If I had my own swimming pool I would practice everyday, but I suppose the nearest public pool will do for now practicing can only be done two to 3 times a week
so lets figure out how to get a swimming pool….
When it comes to Pickleball I don’t at all! The game is about exercise, laughing and joking with different personalities both on and off the court.
As a kid I hated practicing. I played squash for 40 years and only took a lesson 3 years before I stopped playing.
As children my dad bought us each a tennis raquet as he and his mum dad and sister used to play tennis often (why not there was no Tele). He would take us to any courts that he knew about and started to play. Unfortunately he was a ‘competitive dad’ and whatever we hit to him he would send flying to the sidelines and make us chase from one side to the other or make us run in to the net with a short shot while he just stood in the middle. Needless to say we never practiced because we began to hate the game.
