Everytime I go to do a project involving the use of my hands I go to my Father.
“ If you are going to do a project, do it right the 1st time or don’t do it at all”.
Also very closely related to “Measure twice and cut once”.
Watching you do projects outside the kitchen does not lead me to this conclusion. However in the kitchen you never measure much and everything tastes out of this world!
When my Dad left the family home, it was terrible. He was not a very emotional person, but when he was talking to me about why he was leaving, did say that individuals are either smart or a great athlete. He said I was special, because I was both. It felt like a bit of a bribe, but will always remember these words
