I’ve been told that when you look out on an empty ocean you can only see 12 miles.
But from Vancouver you can see Mt Baker which is 60 miles away.
I’ve seen Mt Kilimanjaro from Nairobi and that is 140 miles away.
I have watched the sun rise over the horizon from an airplanes window at 50,000 feet. not quite sure just how far that is but I think that beats you.
