It wasn’t particularly expensive but it was one of the few presents I was given by my mother in law that I liked. It disappeared in all the Christmas wrapping which went straight in the bin on Christmas day so I never got to wear it, she never got see it and it was never mentioned again. Guilt is the biggest cost.
The papers in an old desk which contained documentary history of the local commuity were all taken out and put in a black bag, and the bin men took it not knowing what was in it.
