Anyone ever given anyone wrong directions – either on purpose or by accident – and then realised afterwards?
Entirely depends on how attached you are to getting where you wanted to go. In truth, my poor sense of direction has caused google maps to have a panic attack and ask for time to think.
I think that might be you not having the landscape/portrait lock switched on your phone…..

I love the old fashioned paper for everything EXCEPT exploring where I might never get back from an excursion without Google Maps!

But Andrea is insane about getting there and will always check the time of the trip and be within 1 -3 minutes
